Chevrolet Corvette 2007 (6th Generation)
Last updated on: Jan 06 2009
Perhaps the world’s most popular sports car, and definitely the most pioneering at the time of its inception, the Chevrolet Corvette is right at the top of the heap when it comes to cars. Manufactured since 1953 by Chevrolet, the Corvette started off as a two-seat sports car at a time when the focus was shifting from utility and usability of cars to style and design. The name Corvette is derived from a small, lightly armed warship.
There are six generations which define the Chevrolet Corvette, from C1 all the way through to C6. The car comes in two types– a Coupe as well as a Convertible. The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette marked an important milestone of the sixth generation, which is a blend of technical expertise with stylish expression.

The sixth generation Corvette is shorter than the C5 by about six inches. Based on General Motor’s new Gen IV small-block family of engines and producing 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, the standard engine which runs the 2007 Corvette C6 is the new and powerful LS 2 6.0 litre small block V8 engine. The engine features a combination of raw horsepower and efficient fuel economy which rivals the world’s best performing cars and also matches the fuel mileage of sedans and even cheap family cars.
The 2007 C6 Corvette’s interior includes improved functionality and workmanship. The interiors are so well crafted that performance driving is enhanced through using the car. A trademark sign of the Corvette, the dual cockpit is featured in the C6 along with a reconfigurable head-up display, DVD-navigation system with voice activation, XM Satellite Radio and Xenon High-Intensity Discharge lamps. The aerodynamic efficiency of the C6 is the best in its range, giving it high speed stability.
Internet auctions provide the perfect solution for the cheapest deals, while buying the car off auctions can also be a viable option. An excellent buy for an excellent car.
