Dodge Ram 1500 (2004)

The Ram is a full sized pick-up truck designed by Chrysler LLC. They were brought into use for the first time in 1981 and since then have been one of their most successful products. The Dodge Ram has been voted as truck of the year twice by Motor Trend magazine.

The Dodge Ram 1500 has many engine variants such as the 3.9 litre magnum V6, 5.2 litre Magnum V8, 8.0 litre magnum V8 and 5.9 litre I6 Cummins turbo diesel. The Ram comes with an option of a four speed 45RFE automatic gear box or a five speed 545RFE manual gear transmission system. There are some models available with a six speed gear system also. The interiors of the truck have been smartly designed and cab storage features include a large glove compartment, central armrest storage area and storage space behind the seats.

The 2004 model has many new enhancements over previous models. It has a totally new frame, suspension and power grills. The live axles have been replaced with independent front suspension and this leads to smoother rides under bumpy conditions. Even the interiors of the truck have been modified to provide a classier look and finish to the truck. The separate fender look in the Ram truck has been immensely popular and this design is being copied by many competitors in their pick up truck ranges. The major change in the 2004 model has been the introduction of 5.7 litre Hemi V8 engine which provides better acceleration and a smoother drive with higher fuel efficiency.

The Dodge Ram 1500 is not a very expensive truck considering the cost of the dodge RAM 2005 model and for a truck that has won the prize of best truck of the year twice, no price is too expensive. Still, the cheapest deals for the Dodge Ram 1500 can be made through internet auctions.
