Honda Accord (2007)
Last updated on: Jan 07 2009
The Honda Accord is yet another success story from the stables of the Japanese car giant, Honda – so much so that it is believed that car does nearly everything right. From being a compact car in its fledgling years to a mid-sized one more recently, the Accord has finally achieved the status of a full size car, though barely just. With passing times and passing styles, Honda has brought out several different versions and body styles of the Accord, easily distinguishable from one another and frequently vehicles marketed under the Accord name vary in different markets vary quite dramatically. The diverse Accord styles vary from a two door coupe to a four door sedan and from a four door sedan to a five door wagon.
The seventh generation, of which the 2007 model is an integral part, essentially consists of two separate models - the European and JDM Accords. Both of these models were integrated on the same chassis as the old Accord, but with a completely new body. The car’s favourable features include roomy and stylish interior coupled with a strong reputation for reliability, essentially simple controls, high resale value, tight build quality, refined drive trains and good crash test scores. The ride is smooth, most importantly. When you go into the technical specifications, you will find there are two major trim levels - EX and LX, which are complemented by EX-L, EX-L V6 and LX V6, their supporting subsets. The fuel capacity is 17.1 gallons.
In the 2007 model, SE-V6 trim was a new and effective addition and the colour "Cool Blue Metallic" became available for the sedan. The precise feel and slick suspension of the 2007 Accord make it an improvement over the previous versions and a threat to the competition.
It is not difficult, then, to presume that the Honda Accord features high on the list of cars to bid for at auction to get cheap, cheaper or even the cheapest deals.
