In the world of cars, the name BMW is synonymous with quality - so much so that the 2002 model of the BMW 7 Series was considered a failure by some, considering the lofty standards set by BMW. Nonetheless, it was followed by the entry of the 2003 BMW 7 Series into the market. The range of cars which make up the 2003 series include the 745i, 745Li and 760Li. BMW X5 (2005)

The German manufacturer introduced the X5 series in 1999 as a mid-size crossover SUV - what it basically signified was the shift (or crossover) from a truck-based SUV frame to a sedan-like body, rather like the new Lexus RX series.
The all-wheel drive is available over a wide range of V8 and petrol inline-engines. In fact at the time of the car's inception, BMW tried to market the X5 series as a SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) rather than a SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) to try and remove the spotlight from its size and girth.
