The Dodge Ram 1500 has many engine variants such as the 3.9 litre magnum V6, 5.2 litre Magnum V8, 8.0 litre magnum V8 and 5.9 litre I6 Cummins turbo diesel. The Ram comes with an option of a four speed 45RFE automatic gear box or a five speed 545RFE manual gear transmission system. There are some models available with a six speed gear system also. The interiors of the truck have been smartly designed and cab storage features include a large glove compartment, central armrest storage area and storage space behind the seats.

The 2004 model has many new enhancements over previous models. It has a totally new frame, suspension and power grills. The live axles have been replaced with independent front suspension and this leads to smoother rides under bumpy conditions. Even the interiors of the truck have been modified to provide a classier look and finish to the truck. The separate fender look in the Ram truck has been immensely popular and this design is being copied by many competitors in their pick up truck ranges. The major change in the 2004 model has been the introduction of 5.7 litre Hemi V8 engine which provides better acceleration and a smoother drive with higher fuel efficiency.

Its production began in 1992 when it was launched as a two seater V10 and over the years the car has become known for its extremely powerful engine, straightforward design, aggressive and powerful styling and high performance.

The Viper SRT-10 coupe was introduced as the Dodge Viper 2006 at the Detroit Motor Show. Its body style includes a two door coupe and a two door roadster. It is powered by a 8.3 litre V10 engine which produces a mind numbing 510 HP (380 kW) at 725 N-m. It is accompanied by a T56 Tremec six speed manual gear transmission system. The weight of the 2006 model is lighter by around 230 kg when compared to the previous models; this makes the performance nippier. The chassis of the car has also been redesigned. It’s a two seat sports car. The car’s production began at New Mack Assembly in 1992 and has become famous as it boasts numerous appearances in TV shows, video games, popular movies and electrifying music videos.

In the 2008 model, with the initiation of the 8.4 L V10 engine, the Viper received a 25 lb-ft (34 N-m) torque boost up to 560 lb-ft (759 N-m). The power was also given a fillip from 90 hp (67 kW) to 600 hp (450 kW), and the engine capacity was improved up to 510 cubic inches (8,383 cc) from 505.6 CID (8,285 cc) of the 8.3 L engine. With the help of larger valves and dual electronic throttle bodies, better flowing heads are now received.

The latest Viper variant SRT10’s V 10 aluminium engine block was bored out by 1 mm, hence the displacement rose to 8.4 litres from 8.3 litres. The block includes cross-bolted main bearing caps and pressed-in iron cylinder liners and for durability and strength with toughened bulkheads and enhanced water jackets for greater cooling.

An increase by 300 rpm to the rev limit, had to be put in place to put in effect better valve-train stability, keeping in mind the new valve-springs and camshaft profiles. The Electronic Engine Controller, which monitors the crankshaft and the cylinder position, has ten times the processing power as that exhibited by the previous unit.

With a listed market price of around $88,125, the Viper 2008 comes out in a range of colours from Viper Red to Snake Skin Green – all of them are available at the same price at auctions, with none cheaper than the rest. The cheapest bargain should translate into a very good buy for an excellent car.

The styling is bold and handsome with innovative and sophisticated design while the third-generation Ram encompasses the 2005 Dodge Ram. Some of the features which define the pick-up include an all new frame, suspension, power trains, interior and sheet metal. The 2005 Dodge Ram had a larger grille, and the Ram's separate-fender look was copied by several competitors as the special models took over the market. These are very evident now across many manufacturers.

One such special model is the Rumble Bee, an integral part of the 2005 Dodge Ram. A limited sport truck version of the Dodge Ram, the Rumble Bee package was out for regular cab or short-box pick-ups and it was inclusive of lower body cladding, twenty inch wheels and a hood scoop, with a serialized number plate. It comes with a six-speed automatic transmission (addition in 2005 over the five-speed transmission earlier). The popular 4.7-litre, V8 benefits immensely from a modern style overhead-cam design. As with all pick-up trucks, a four-wheel drive is present to aid the powerful 4.7-litre engine for improved handling as well as stability in slippery conditions, while the SRT-10’s feature Viper V10 engines. An optional power sunroof with one touch open and close buttons was another addition to the 2005 model of the Dodge Ram.
