Toyota Camry (2007)

The Camry is a popular sedan from the stable of the Japanese car giants Toyota. It was first launched in 1980 and has since become one of the all time best sellers in America and other parts of the world. It has been able to attract customers because of its style and performance. The name of the car is derived from Japanese word ’Kanmuri’ which literally means crown.

The Camry 2007 model, which is the seventh generation of this car, was launched at the North American International Auto Show. The engine of the car is available in two variants; one with four cylinders and one with six cylinders. The 2.4 litre four cylinder engine produces 168 HP (118 kW) at 161 ft-lb of torque. The other engine which is a 3.5 litre V6 is pulled by 268 horses (200 kW) and produces a torque of 248 ft/lb. The car comes with standard five speed and six speed manual gear transmission systems along with five speed and six speed U660E automatic gear box.

The Camry has frontal airbags, upper body protecting side impact airbags for front seat, head protecting side air curtains and driver knee air bags. All these features make the car extremely safe to drive. Some other safety features include ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, brake assist and EBD. The interiors of the car are also very luxurious. It includes a rear centre head restraint, a storage bin in the door, optitron gauges, steering wheel mounted stereo controls and comfortable leather seats.
